The Forest of Twisted Souls

Though not much is known about this sickening dense, thick forest which hosts some of luminos' most vile and disgusting but also deadly creatures. what IS known, is that one day the forest just.. appeared, scattered itself all around the ruins of the old, war torn central kingdom. some say if one gets lost in it's woods, they would be on and endless journey to only hell as no exit would ever present itself, as such, most people tend to just avoid it entirely and instead go around or through the paths marked off by high tier hunters and huntresses of the Hunters Academy, a sworn alliance of heroic men and women who give their lives to insure the safety of all those in each kingdom. without a trained hunter at ones side when venturing in this forest, it's said voices will speak to you, slowly warp your mind and turn you against your allies, you will never be able to differ between friend and foe, seeing horrible twisted monstrosities of nature crawl up and into your skin. in reality, when one vanishes within the woods, their body is never retrieved.. never found. their are many thousand corpses of poor men and women who'd travel into the forest in search of treasure, or loved ones.. only to have their souls converted into darkness, commiting suicide via hanging themselves, slashing their wrists, their throats. banging their heads against the wood of the trees, etc.  it's said, the reason why the forest is so haunted is due to the demonic beings who fell during the great war which in turn destroyed humanity's first ever settlement. there have been some, rare cases of which a person would actually find their way out of the forest, however.. they were never the same again, as if their soul was taken from them, or perhaps warped. Twisted, until the humanity within them were removed entirely..
